IN BRIEF:

I was raised in Sarasota, Florida, graduating from Sarasota High School in 1972, obtaining my Associates of Arts (AA) degree from Manatee Junior College in 1974, my Bachelor of Arts (BA) degree in philosophy (with minors in Logic, Computer Science, Political Science, and Business Administration) from DePauw University and the University of South Florida in 1976, and my Juris Doctorate (JD) degree in law from Gonzaga University in 1980. I worked as an attorney for 20 years in Florida and Colorado as a prosecutor for the State of Florida, and in private firms specializing in court jury trials and in complex real estate transactions for land developers, while also establishing a computer programing company in Colorado. After retiring from active legal work, I began a career as a law professor with Troy State University and Central Texas College teaching at US Air Force bases in Asia. I also returned to my computer programing expertise to combine that with computer security training in a career as a Systems Administrator specializing in data security for the US Air Force in Japan and the US Navy in Pearl Harbor. In 2017, after 17 years managing the best IT shops in the US military, I again retired and now act as a consultant for trial lawyers in the US and as an IT data security consultant for businesses around the world.
